Being a former paralegal I am no stranger to research. So naturally when I take on a new home project I go into pure research mode, personally taking pride in finding out things about your home that even you may not know. If I can sell you back into your home, then surely I can sell you out! With that said, here are 5 really cool things that I've found about ceramic floor tiling:
1. Increases home value: Ceramic tiled homes generally have greater resale and appraisal values.
2. Scratch resistant: 3 and 4 class ceramic tiles are made for moderate to heavy foot traffic, so word on the block is that they just don’t scratch.
3. Reduces household allergens: Tiling unlike carpet does not attract dust and or dust mites. Homes with ceramic floor tiling will have less dust in the air. They reduce the amount of allergens your home will hold, making the air you breathe much, much more healthier. Allergy suffers, and friends/family of allergy suffers this one's for you!
4. Moisture resistant: Because of this they prevent the accumulation of moisture in your floors, reducing the chance of mold and mildew build up you'll have. Wash your floors all you want with lots, no loads of water if you wish, lol... & then come wash mines too! Just kidding. The added value here is that on top of the above your floors unlike other floors will not be damaged by water overload, making them perfect for bathroom use.
5. Fire resistant: These floors are naturally fire resistant, and are used to maintain a structure's surface. My safety conscious thinkers this shout out goes to you!
